This amazing image presented itself during one of the many powerful thunderstorms storms I experienced during my visit to Sydney. Whilst it was too bright to capture the lightning I knew the drama of the sky and interesting light would make a great HDR image.

When I visited we were experiencing a heatwave with temperatures rising to as much as 39 degrees centigrade up from the normal 23. This gave the possibility to get some very exciting images with massive thunderstorms built up from all the heat and humidity creating a very dramatic sky.
